I have been expanding my work into new adventures in quilting – this specific style is one I’ve been adapting for a few years and there’s a few options for how those quilts look.
Fix Your Heart or Die
I’ve been working on this quilt for a bit – originally I was thinking it would be a small picnic blanket but ultimately after all the hand stitching I can’t sit on it. It’s now going to be a hanging piece of textile art.
Based on a David Lynch quote, it’s scrap fabric cut into squares and then hand stitched and backed in rainbow dinosaurs.

Future’s Gonna Be Ok
For BTS in El Paso, my friend and I wanted to do a theme of handmade, so I wanted to do one of my quilting projects with text from D-day – a solo album, yes, but a line I think about a lot. I started this project on March 14 – days before the album was released. Hand quilting takes time.
I worked on this while in the hospital. While on the road. It’s still not finished. I wanted to add the things that stressed me out – the rags that we use at my job that are made of the closed DEI office t-shirts, a hand embroidered quote from a guy who was later a dick to me, things like that – and repurpose them into something that spoke to hope and resilience. If we say it enough, it’ll be true.
